Mailing Lists
Mailing list are discussion groups where email sent to the list is distributed to everyone who has signed up
for that list. There are lists on all sorts of topics. The ones listed below are related to United Methodist topics
or have United Methodists represented on the list.
Note: Some lists are very active, generating up to 40-50 email messages a day. If you sign up for an active list
and are on a provider that limits the number of email message you can receive (e.g. American Online or CompuServe),
then it is VERY important that you read your mail everyday or use the list's digest option to have a days worth
of email bundled and delivered as one email. Failure to do so will result in bounced mail which is a headache to
the list administrator and means you miss out on messages.
